Earlier this week I had thought about coming up with a great post to celebrate today’s tomfoolery. I would announce that I finally got an acceptance on a story and post an excerpt…of the most atrocious, cliché-ridden piece of tripe ever to grace the Internets (or some-such).
As usual, John Scalzi not only beat me to the punch but did it much better than I ever could have…
No news here other than my pending retirement from the librarian/writer biz. Instead, I will be taking on the stage name of Wabash “Plug Nickle” Johnston and joining the ranks of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Wayne Newton (among other entertainers with a first name that starts with “W”) by releasing my new “outlaw” country album entitled Welcome to the Hoedown (Be Sure and Bring Yer Chaps). Look for it in your classier truck stops and Stuckey’s across the southwest.
Be careful out there and have a great April Fool’s Day!
Nice nod to Firefly there… and of course, great R.R.
Thanks!
