Anyone who reads this blog with any frequency knows that I have a discipline problem. Instead of whining about it (as per usual), I’m going to do something about it. I’ve decided to come up with a “content schedule” for the site. Maybe if I can commit to a deadline for you (my admittedly small readership), then I can keep plugging away.
The original purpose of the site was to be a place for me to post serialized stories. I’ve really gotten away from that. Also, I’d like to post to the blog more often; even if it is just to introduce new links and bits I’ve found. I’ve also concentrated on making my posts writing-related in some way. I may now broaden my horizons a bit and write essays on what’s on my mind. They may not be about writing, but it will be me putting words to virtual paper and may actually be more interesting than another “I need to write more, boo-hoo” post.
So, you’ll now see on the right-hand side of your screen, beneath the copyright disclaimer, a link to the content schedule for Serial Distractions. Entries begin for the month of August.
We’ll see if I can pull this off. Please feel free to comment and let me know if it’s not working or to give me encouragement (or a prod) if needed. Constructive suggestions are also always welcome.
In the words of the great philosophers Messrs. Bartles & Jaymes, “Thank you for your support”.
